That’s insane. I don’t think it should matter what age the “victim” was. They should only get five years to pursue action or have someone do so on their behalf. Almost always people will believe the “victim” over the accused and very little proof is needed for charges to arise. Someone who waits until they are 28 to report an event that happened at 17 or younger is not seeking justice, but revenge. Now they can wait until 40? Just crazy.

What I find ridiculous is that this strengthens the prosecutions ability to pursue cases without any real evidence. Even if the victim was young at the time, by the time 20 years has passed, there is very rarely any evidence other than the testimony of the victim. I am not an advocate of molestation, but it appalls me that someone can be charged based only on such testimony. History has shown us that these testimonies, especially after such a lengthy tie, can be false or inaccurate at best.

These people are dumbstruck indeed. This society pushes our moral compass (God) out of this land as much as they can and wonder why things get twisted. They seem to have more faith in themselves than in God and the common law that comes from Him. Their laws are foolishness.
